Hello Beloveds,
I’ll keep this very short. A few days ago, I had a video conversation with a dear friend of mine, Christa Gumede Buthelezi, editor of Odyssey Magazine, as part of her video podcast Conversations with Christa. I’ve known Christa about 15 years - our journeys have paralleled one another’s remarkably.
We spoke about grief, and the ways an ecosystem can ground and hold it.
We spoke about how the practice of photography can presence you.
We spoke about ‘perfectionism’, and the messy mud of a composted life.
And; at the end, Christa asked me a question about freedom, about the emancipation of humanity. The fundament of why I came into incarnation, really. And what the estuary taught me about that . . .
Yes, I’m in the deep field of grief myself now, and attendant legal matters.
Trauma-lands ~
Yes, I had a virus, immense cold sore and fever during the recording,
but:
show up.
I thoroughly enjoyed this conversation; its passion, vigour and deep listening.
Join us. Please ~
in all our tender, broken open, humanity . . .

Thank you for sharing! The joy of photography as a space of allowed "imperfection" (in the outwards sense), that resonated with me. And a reminder of listening more, and deeper... I have a long way to go in that.
